North-West Transit-Way, Kellyville
The North-West T-way is a bus rapid transit line in the north-western suburbs of Sydney. The T-way consists of two sections, one linking Parramatta railway station and Rouse Hill, the other linking Blacktown and Parklea. The T-way was approved in February 2004 and opened in 2007.
The scope of works included
- Construction of 5kms of stormwater drainage,
- Install 1km of DICL and SCL watermain ranging in size from 100mm – 500mm
- 450mm sewer main
- Installation of various sized GPT’s and precast manholes
The complexities of the job included working in a narrow corridor alongside other contractors, around live traffic, traffic switches, pedestrian management, working in and around high voltage electricity, high pressure gas and fibre optic cables.
