Macarthur Water Filtration Plant Upgrade
Macarthur Water Filtration Plant supplies over 500,000 Sydney Water customers. The upgrade ensures Sydney Water continues to provide high quality drinking water to current and future residents living in the Camden, Campbelltown, Liverpool and Wollondilly areas of NSW.
The scope of works for this project included
- Install 75m of 750mm DICL pipe Eastern manifold to tank inlet
- 64m of 750mm DICL pipe western manifold
- 16m of 750mm DICL pipe western manifold to tank inlet
- 107m of 375mm DICL pipe return to inlet pipeline
- 105m of 375mm DICL pipeline connection from inlet works
- Valves, fittings, thrust blocks and concrete encasement
- Hydrostatic and compaction testing to Sydney Water standards
- Connection to existing watermain
The complexities of the job included, working in and around high voltage electricity, comms cables, known and unknow services and working with other contractors.
